Hi, I'm Kevin. I built Raw Honey Project to prove that something sweet doesn't have to wreck your body.
Growing up, I had a massive sweet tooth. Ice cream, cookies, chocolate, cinnamon buns, and especially Reese's Peanut Butter Cups (I was obsessed). I actually tried to live off of ice cream for a week while in college (not joking).
At 21, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, and the foods I loved became the foods that wrecked me. Most sweets are loaded with refined sugar, additives, gums, and fillers I couldn't pronounce — and they were destroying my gut.
For years, I really struggled with my health and hit my personal rock bottom.
On my journey, I eventually learned that eating clean unprocessed whole foods was the key to good health. I took back control of my health, and embraced this new way of living.
Raw honey was something my body actually loved. It's packed with natural benefits — but on its own, the taste still wasn't a real replacement for dessert. Not to my sweet tooth, anyway.
So I started mixing raw honey with different ingredients at home — dark chocolate, cinnamon, whatever I had — just trying to recreate the feeling of dessert again without paying for it later. Those little experiments are what sparked Raw Honey Project.
If I could turn raw honey into a clean, better-for-you treat, other people could satisfy their sweet tooth guilt-free too.
